The product

ChaiPoint lets fans support Kenyan creators with one-off M-Pesa payments (“chai”). It is for creators, not businesses. A page is free. One chai is KSh 100. Custom amounts start at KSh 1.

Fees

Your first month after payouts go live, you keep 100% of what fans send. After that you keep 90%. Supporters do not pay an extra fee. M-Pesa or bank charges from Safaricom or your bank may still apply on their side.

Payouts

Fans pay by STK Push. We send chai to the bank account or M-Pesa till you set up, once that payout is connected and live. We are not a bank and we do not hold a spendable wallet you can withdraw to any number on demand. Test a chai on your own page after you go live.

Your page

You are responsible for the name, photos, bio, and messages on your page, and for any tax on money you receive. Do not use ChaiPoint for fraud, hate, illegal goods, or to impersonate someone else. We may remove a page that breaks these terms.

Supporters

A chai is a voluntary gift, not a purchase of goods, not a subscription, and not an investment. If an STK Push fails or is cancelled, no money moves. Refunds for completed M-Pesa payments are handled case by case with the creator and the payment provider.

Accounts

Keep your email and payout details accurate. We may suspend an account to stop abuse or to follow the law. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
